The Neon Jungle (Nick Seven Book 6) by Tim Smith features Nick Seven, a former spy who has retired to a paradise resort with Felicia Hagens. He now runs a bar and is happy, but when someone asks Nick to help get the mob off his back, Nick feels compelled to help. He is soon pulled into the criminal underworld that threatens him and Felicia. The author included some backstory in this book which helped me to understand what happened in previous books. Although this is book six in the series and I have not read the previous books, I could follow along reasonably well. I easily understood what was happening with the characters. Nick wants to help his friend, even though he knows that going up against a mob boss won’t be easy. He does risk a lot, but he has been trained by the best.

Tim Smith has written an interesting story in The Neon Jungle (Nick Seven Book 6). The book could also work well in the suspense genre too. The main character seems like a James Bond type and since he is the focus of the story, it is refreshing to read a romance book that isn’t targeted just at women. I feel it can be read by both genders. The story is entertaining though and moves at a good pace. It was well written and the dialogue was believable. I would recommend it to action and suspense fans. There is plenty in here to keep readers entertained.”
